What existing system(s) have you chosen as inspiration?

I am inspired by – disability mutual aid; various tarot decks that have re-worked cards in the major arcana; the witch’s wisdom tarot that takes the major arcana and runs them backwards from the communal to the individual/fool

Also, the deck I am working with now is the one I am building, KISMET, which takes the archetypes of the kink community and its path towards a World card as it were in the form of Authenticity, and the Quest rather than the Fool.

What do you hope your system will achieve? What is your goal? How will you know if you

are successful?

I historically read a card then move on. I also historically trend towards using spreads, even if they are ones I have constructed. Thus, in this system I am pushing myself towards a system a-la Open Reading by laying all of layer one at once (or all layers, have not decided) to look at their interactions such as how they look at each other or relate towards each other visually (TdeM and Kipper). There is no querent in the system, instead there are a number of relational elements that come clear as the cards in the first layer associate with each other.

In a base spread, this would thus be:

[A]-[C]-[B]

Where A and B are the relational elements and C is how they relate/what needs known about how they relate

However, that is almost “cheating” in the system because the real base spread is actually:

            [A]

    [AC]        [AB]

[C]       [BC]     [B]

Where A, B, and C are the relational elements and the 2nd layer is how each of them relate/what needs known about how they relate, then a 3rd layer optional of an [ABC] after either the first *then* second layers happen (or) first *and* second layers happen. It becomes an additional clarifier then or root issue that needs to be addressed, usually as an action step rather than as theory.

This can allow then for this to be read as a reader for themselves, two individuals reading together (there is not a querent, even of just the two of them), an individual reading for someone else (not necessarily its strength), or for a group to read together. It will have succeeded if it can read smoothly in the reading together model or group especially.

What is your ideological approach? Is this a spiritual practice for you?

Tarot is a mental reflection, an oracular tool, a technique for communicating with the divine, and a tool I use in assisting others as a reader (often in supplementing my coaching work). This spread approach will likely work better towards the latter, as collaboration, or in self-reflection, rather than as a spirit-work tool. But I could be wrong.

In the re-working of the system removing A-10+Court I am actively moving away from Western numerology by conscious choice, instead modeling triads, pairs, and un-paired identities/approaches to the world as being equally valid. Rough breakdown I am sitting with becomes the grid 4x14 grid below, with elemental associations being deeply personal to each reader/user, and can be combined into interstitial elements (Fire + Earth = Lava)
