Identity, Gender, and Sex
Gender, sex, sexual behavior, and romantic orientation are different from each other but can be interlaced in our culture. Thus, these classes explore everything from transgender awareness and erotic identity to safer sex practices and how our faith or magical practices can intermingle with our sexuality. They span from very broad topics of use to all to niche topics that need to be presented in the world so that those individuals and communities can have the support and visibility they deserve.

When discussing transgender experience, there is often a focus on gender dysphoria, the distress someone experiences due to a mismatch between their gender identity and their sex assigned at birth. But what about gender euphoria and the powerful joys that can come during the varieties of transgender and gender expansive experiences? In this class we will look at the diverse types of dysphoria before diving into the power and beauty possible when we are seen in our gender or can find the power possible in the journeys we are on. Though this discussion will center the voices of transgender, gender non-conforming, non-binary, and gender expansive individuals, though people of all gender experiences are welcome, as well as partners and allies of those on diverse gender journeys.

When a child is born, we lift them up and declare “it’s a boy” or “it’s a girl,” but the world of gender is more complex than this. Together, we will examine the terminology around gender identity and transgender experience while looking at the differences and crossovers between sex, gender, and orientation. From medical care to chromosomes beyond xx/xy, legal issues to society's beliefs of what gender roles are “supposed” to look like, let’s look at gender through a broader lens.
This class offers a grounded, compassionate framework for understanding the many layers of gender as they show up in personal, cultural, and professional contexts. Participants will explore the distinctions between assigned, legal, perceived, and self-identified gender, while examining how culture, subculture, race, and privilege shape both individual experience and social response. We will thoughtfully unpack when and how sexual orientation or sexual behavior may intersect with gender, and when it does not, across clinical, educational, and everyday settings. Rooted in curiosity rather than assumption, this course invites attendees to deepen nuance, challenge unconscious bias, and build more skillful, ethical engagement with gender-diverse lives.

Exploring the world beyond the media’s story of “normal” sexuality can seem daunting at first, but it doesn’t have to be! Let’s look at the wide array of love styles and relationship shapes, romantic activities, orientations, and sexual play out there, as well as the expansive world of kink in this fun and informative class. Kinky activities can range from mild to wild, and learning about common terms and identities, fetishes, and communication styles in the bedroom (and beyond), can help you build consent, safety, and connection alike. Let’s help you figure out or more deeply discuss your interests, curiosities, passions, and what you have energy for (especially in today’s day and age). Let this course demystify, delight, and disarm you by taking the terror out of these topics and bringing them out to play!

Supporting transgender and gender-diverse people goes far beyond using the right name and pronouns - it’s about cultivating true, everyday allyship. In this session, we’ll explore practical ways to reduce harm and increase ease for the trans folks in our lives, from responding well when someone comes out to understanding the many forms transition can take. We’ll look at how to create gender-inclusive spaces, support families walking these paths, and recognize when corporate or community activism helps - or unintentionally hinders. Together, we’ll unpack cultural myths (yes, including the “bathroom issue”) and learn how to shift our environments toward greater compassion and equity. This is an invitation to expand your skill set, deepen your awareness, and help build a world where everyone gets to move through life with dignity and support.

So many are drawn to the sacred feminine or sacred masculine, but what of those of us who hold the energy of both in our body, neither, or something else entirely? Just as countless deities have danced beyond the binary, we, too, can honor the lands, ancestors, elements, and inner selves that thrive outside traditional boundaries. Through breath, words, dance, and movement, we will process feelings, thoughts, joys, and actions that arise in this complex experience surrounding energy, divinity, gender, and sex. Attendees are invited to don the garb that best expresses their connection to these energies or manifests their authentic experience for this shared ritual experience. Bring your delight, your curiosity, your passion, and perhaps some of your discomfort as well - because the spaces “beyond and between” are where profound magic often lives.

We live in a world that often whispers that we’re incomplete unless someone else fills in our missing pieces, making it easy to forget the fierce, radiant wholeness we already carry. This guided visualization and ritual experience invites you to remember that you are already whole unto yourself, even as you move through the communities and relationships that shape your life. Together, we’ll journey into the ways your spirit shines in connection, how your presence weaves meaning with others, and how your sacred individuality remains steady and luminous at the center of it all. This ritual isn’t about withdrawing from others, but about reclaiming your vitality so you can meet your relationships with clarity, choice, and authenticity. You deserve excellence - and that brilliance is already alive within your own Sacred Self.

Whether you’re navigating grief, wrestling with loneliness, or longing to understand the layers that make you uniquely you, many people say the key is to develop self-love. This is so important… but you need to build a relationship with the person in the mirror first. Self-love matters, but it grows from learning to be your own friend, partner, co-worker, caretaker, and witness. In this class, we explore how to show up for yourself with honesty, compassion, and curiosity, the way you would for someone you care about or value. As you cultivate that inner connection, you open the door to richer relationships with others and a more grounded sense of belonging.

Many magical and pagan traditions were not built to be LGBTQ+ focussed, yet magic itself has always had a queer nature. In this class, we will explore queer deities across history and the ancestors - chosen, communal, spiritual, and mythic - who stand with us beyond bloodlines. Together, we’ll honor the power that rises from living outside, between, or across layers of identity, orientation, and experience. We’ll look at both queered magic and the act of queering existing practices, connecting with specifically queer practices, and shaping rituals that reflect and celebrate those who walk these paths. This class is open to anyone drawn to learn more about these topics, share their own personal experiences, be around peers, or become an ally through looking at the expansive nature of magic beyond boundaries.

There are so many words for gender, sex, and sexuality these days, and it can feel confusing - or even emotional - when we’re unsure how to talk with our trans, nonbinary, or non-trans partners about desire. Together, we’ll build skills for richer, more connected kink, play, and sexual exploration across gender-diverse experiences. This class will explore language, disclosure, desire, conversations worth having, and the vibrant mix of identity and expression that shapes how we meet one another. We’ll examine the myths and truths we carry about gender, what we want to do with our bodies, and how to play with partners who are navigating their own unfolding paths. Because truly, every one of us is on a gender journey - so let’s get thoughtful, get embodied, and open our hearts as we rethink what gender and hot play can be.

In this guided visualization and ritual meditation, let’s walk the crossroads between self and community - seeing your strength reflected in others, feeling your connections resonate through your body, and witnessing the bright ember of your own sacred individuality. This practice is not about stepping away from the world or elevating solitude, but about remembering the vitality you carry as you move within the circles and systems you choose. Here, you are reminded that excellence is not a destination but a truth you already embody. Come home to that knowing. Come home to your Sacred Self.

We’re often told that we must love ourselves before anyone else can truly love us - but what if the journey begins somewhere gentler, somewhere more human? What if we approached ourselves the way we would a roommate sharing our home, a co-worker working beside us through daily tasks, or a friend we’re still learning how to appreciate? Instead of demanding “self-love” as the starting line, we can invite compassion, curiosity, connection, and small acts of everyday care. In this class, we’ll explore the many shapes a relationship with oneself can take and discover practical tools to nurture each possibility. Together, we’ll choose one tangible step toward crafting a self-relationship that feels honest, spacious, and truly our own.
