Reviews!

"I had to write to you to give you thanks for writing, "Shibari You Can Use". I found your book by divine means,
as I wasn't looking for it, per se. My partner asked me if there was a S&M Guidebook, and a few years ago
someone told me about one... Living in Ashland [Oregon], there wasn't much hope, but I happened across a
signed copy of your book. When I saw the word "macramé", I said to myself, "I love macramé!"... I think
the artwork and instruction are amazing. I've never paid much attention to bondage, but now I can't wait
to start practicing! Finding your book has been a very liberating experience. Ironic, eh?
Thank You, so much, for writing such a wonderful book!"
- A newbie to rope in Ashland

This rope-bondage book is chock-full of instructions for really cool ties, corsets, gauntlets, chest harnesses and even dildo
harnesses (which can be made for any size body!) that you can make out of rope! Starting with the basics
(the kinds of rope, how tight you should bind, how to care for your rope, etc.), each chapter takes you one
step further in the world of Shibari (Japanese decorative rope bondage): One Column Ties, Two Column Ties,
Chest Harnesses, Combinations, Rope Corsets and Crotch Ropes. ... if you're looking for a book to teach you to make
a very nice, all-rope outfit for your next sex party, this is the book you want.

I also loved Bridgett's book and am recommending it for beginners who
are looking for something to get them started with practical ties.

I wanted to thank you for creating "Shibari You Can Use". It's a beautiful
book, which I've been wanting to get since it came out, and just received a
couple of weeks ago. I'm enjoying it thoroughly. I really appreciate how
it encourages one to take the elements of Japanese bondage and apply them in
new ways. A true cookbook, not just a bunch of fixed recipes.

What is the number one danger of the rope world? Nerve compression? No. Asphyxiation? Nope. Rope burns? Nope, nope, nope.
Tedium...a book like Bridgett Harrington's "Shibari You Can Use" is such a joy. Make no mistake about it, Bridgett is a geek.
She would be the first to tell you she loves her toys, her sci-fi, her cybersessions and she knows her camera's focal length as
intimately as her strap-on.
And she loves her rope. She loves tying it, touching it, breathing it, being bound by it, using it for play, for sex, for fashion...
and that joy, that absolute passion for the fibers literally oozes from the pages of this book. There is no snobbery, no
pretension, no super- secret Shibari decoder ring. There is humor ("Step 1: locate the breasts to be bound" accompanied
by a picture of cute mammaries with Bridgett's finger helpfully pointing them out), there is clear information (a bevy of male
and female models illustrate every step) and of course, there is sex (her liquid eyes staring up at the wearer of a rope strap-on,
her lips stretched around the cock...just YUM)...
Of course, the big question is, does it work--does it actually teach you rope bondage you can use?... It wasn't
that I had to go step by step--I'd read through it, and very quickly had rope that looked exactly like the image in the book.
Except it didn't. This is where the grayscale images really didn't do the tie justice--in color, on the flesh, the tie I learned from
Bridgett's book took my breath away. Literally, as minx began to move in it, and when she--well, I'll leave the rest as an
exercise for the class.
Rest assured, this book lives up to its name: it is Shibari You Can Use.
